Kiwi Can Jam 2019

2 weeks ago some ago some students from Glen Taylor School went to Kiwi Can Jam for 2019, watching all the school perform was so entertaining. We won the integrity award I was happy we at least got a prize, here are some photos after Kiwi Can Jam.

CROSS COUNTRY

Cross Country 

Today we had Cross Country. We were all tired and weak. Some of us put in 100% of effort. Most people who never tried before gave it their ALL. Today was a very hyped and hot day and my in my opinion I enjoyed it.

In Rm 11 we do quick write every once in a while. Three students get chosen to read their story out loud to the class, I have a quick write I would like to show you!

FAREWELL MISS KELLY!

For 5 weeks we had a wonderful student teacher in Rm 11  who worked with us and going to bond with us all, It was alot of fun getting to know Miss kelly and we are wishing her a great journey.

Positive Puberty

On Tuesday the 30th of July a lady named char talked about puberty so we can learn how our body works, I learnt a lot of from this whole day of learning about the process that happens in our body during the day and the night. I really thought that puberty was very interesting and I it will totally help throughout my life       

GTS Science Fair

For the first week of school, Room 11 and all the other classes in GTS have been working on different experiments to contribute in the school science fair. In Term 2 the classes also learnt about the states of matter which would help make your experiment succeed, some of the experiments that were included were, Rock Candy, Lava Lamp, Borax Crystals and Nebula Jars 

  

  

Fiafia Day!

Fiafia day was something the senior syndicate had to attend at school because we were unable to do it at camp. I still thought it was fun because the performances we did brought back the memories that were made at camp, My team colour was ORANGE each team got given a colour and a continent. My team got North America and our animal was from our continent which was wolves so that made our name ORANGE WOLVES.

Cycling

On Tuesday the 4th to Monday the 10th June, The middles and seniors had special helpers to help us ride bikes. Room 11 was the last ones to try out the bike riding, the cool thing was we got to ride outside of school and learn to signal when riding on the road. We even got to try it out ourselves with the help of the wonderful helpers we had.

Everyday room 13 does something called Quick write we go on a site called Pobble and choose a picture to write about we do this every morning. This is the Quick write I did this morning

Making a popplet about the digestive system

Today We made a mind map about the digestive system some organs that are in the digestive system is mouth, Esophagus,Stomach,Small intestines and large intestines, it was fun learning this 

Life Education!

Life Education was done by a lady named Nicole. she told us about organs in our body some we didn't even know about them. she also told us how we can take care of our body's the right way, I really enjoyed Life Education.    

student led conference

Wednesday 25th of July 6:45pm I arrived at school for student led conference I came with my parents and two of my sisters. My family was proud of the work I was doing in class I was confident to share my learning to my family. i'm glad I came to student led conference  

Reflecting on constable taina's visit

Last week and yesterday Glen Taylor was visited by the wonderful Constable Taina. She taught us about different kind of ads and different kinds of drugs the drug she taught us about the most was methamphetamine for short meth she told us the most people when they take it they say they feel amazing until they see bugs on their skin but they are really hallucinating so they start picking at their skin. Something else if u take meth you may go CRAZY!!!
